Mr. Eric Bannerman, CEO of Goldstar Air made a special donation worth thirty thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢30,000.00) to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture today at its premises.

The donation was geared towards supporting the upcoming UNWTO World Tourism Day Celebrations to be held ON 27TH September 2021 at Hohoe in the Volta Region.

The purpose of the donation he explained was to support the ministry in relation to the event to augment the Ministry’s effort in supporting the growth of the Tourism sector for National development. 

Receiving the items, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Arts and Culture, honorable Mark Okraku-Mantey thanked the Goldstar Air team for their kind gesture towards the development of the tourism sector.

The Chief Director of the Ministry, John Yao Agbeko, Mr. George Harrison Kankam, and other management staff members were present to witness the presentation. 

Goldstar Air is a tourism-related organization working towards promoting the airline and tourism industry.

The items donated included 400 branded event T-shirts and 1000 pieces of Face shields amounting.

Ministry Overview

The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture was renamed in 2017 through Executive Instrument E.I28 Civil Service (Ministries) Instrument, 2017 by His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to replace the then Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts. The Ministry’s policy directive is to provide a firm, stable policy environment for effective mainstreaming of Ghanaian arts and culture into all aspects of national life. This it is believed will help in ensuring the emergence of a strong, vibrant and creative environment that would help improve and advance the Tourism, Arts and Culture industry in Ghana.
