The Tourism Ministry receives donation from Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has donated some assorted items to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture ( MOTAC) towards the celebration of this year’s World Tourism Day.

The items included tissue papers, sanitizers, nose masks, liquid soaps, and veronica buckets.

The items were donated to assist the MOTAC to ensure the observation of the COVID-19 safety protocols at the event.

Similarly, the gesture was also intended to support the Ministry in the successful organization of the event.

The World Tourism Day instituted by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is celebrated on September 27 each year to promote responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism.

This year’s celebration is on the theme: “Tourism for Inclusive Growth.”

Ministry Overview

The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture was renamed in 2017 through Executive Instrument E.I28 Civil Service (Ministries) Instrument, 2017 by His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to replace the then Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts. The Ministry’s policy directive is to provide a firm, stable policy environment for effective mainstreaming of Ghanaian arts and culture into all aspects of national life. This it is believed will help in ensuring the emergence of a strong, vibrant and creative environment that would help improve and advance the Tourism, Arts and Culture industry in Ghana.
