The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has challenged Ghana’s youth to remain focused and adopt discipline, resilience and loyalty. The Minister emphasized that these values are essential for success in any field, including tourism.
She made the remarks as the keynote speaker of the National Cadet Corps’ commemoration of the 28th of February Crossroads shooting incident in 1948, which was pivotal to Ghana’s independence. She emphasized that “discipline is about setting goals and working hard to achieve them, while. “loyalty is about standing by your principles and values, even when difficult. She assured the students that such values would serve them well throughout their lives and help them become responsible citizens.
The Minister also encouraged the youth to take pride in their cultural heritage and to promote Ghana’s rich history and traditions, adding that our cultural diversity is one of our greatest strengths.
She further urged the Ghanaian youth to position themselves for success in the tourism industry and contribute to the country’s economic development because “the future of our tourism industry is in your hands, she added.
