Background
Hon. Yussif Issaka Jajah is a distinguished Ghanaian politician, energy and development finance expert, currently serving his third term as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North Constituency. He is also the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts (MoTCCA).
Family Life
He is a native of Bole. He was born and raised in Mamobi-Nima-Accra Newtown. He is happily married with four (4) kids. He has remained deeply connected to his community and other Zongo Communities, championing initiatives that drive sustainable development and economic empowerment.
Education
He holds three (3) Master's Degrees from the University of Dundee, Scotland, and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), where he obtained his MBA in International Oil and Gas Management, MPhil Development Finance and MSc Energy Economics respectively. He graduated from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), where he obtained a BSc in Finance (Accounting option).
Politics
With a strong background in financial management, energy policy, and infrastructure development, Hon. Jajah has played a pivotal role in Ghana’s legislative processes. In Parliament, he has served on the Finance Committee, the Roads and Transport Committee, and is an active friend to the Energy, Defence, and Interior Committees. His expertise in economic development, coupled with his legislative experience, positions him as a strategic leader for national governance.
