The Hon. Minister was honoured to receive a delegation from the Embassy of Qatar in Ghana on Monday 29th July 2024.
The State of Qatar and the Republic of Ghana have enjoyed distinguished bilateral relations. His Highness Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited Accra in December 2017, at the invitation of President Nana Akufo-Addo. This was followed by an official visit by the President of the Republic of Ghana to the State of Qatar in November 2018, during which several bilateral cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries in various fields.
The Leader of the Qatari delegation, Mr. Hamad Al- Suwaidi shared with the Minister, the growth in the Tourism space in the State, and their intention to share with Ghana. They also iterated how the two countries could collaborate in tourism development in Ghana.
The Minister assured the leadership of the Embassy of Qatar of his commitment to swiftly expedite all outstanding Memorandums of Understanding to ensure their execution.
