The Minister-Designate for Tourism, Arts, and Culture has iterated the need for further collaboration between Ghana and Colombia. He made these remarks when he addressed a delegation from the Colombian Embassy in Ghana, under the leadership of H.E. Daniel Garces Carabali at the Ministry on Monday 15th April 2024.
Following the visit of the Colombian Vice President to Ghana in 2023, the ambassador stated that the courtesy call was to among others, deepen the cordial relation that exists between the two countries; key of these areas includes a yet-to-be concluded Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), cultural development and promotion, just to mention a few.
Hon. Mercer also used this medium to invigorate the delegation, of the common shared value that underpins Africa and her diaspora community and shared his optimism of further exploring areas of trade, capacity building, arts, and culture.
The delegation will continue their engagements with other ministries such as Education and Foreign Affairs, and will proceed to hold similar engagements with
the Republic of Cameroon.
